Come see a familiar face at CAPE!

Melinda Woodyard, CEO, Manager

Melinda began her financial career 1986.  She was employed as a teller for 12 years with Empire National Bank/One Valley Bank, N.A., a Customer Service Representative one year with Beneficial Finance Company, and now has 15 years with C.A.P.E. Federal Credit Union.

During her time at C.A.P.E., she has received the designation of Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) through the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). She has worked in each area of the Credit Union such as Member Services Representative, Loan Officer, Certificates of Deposit, and IRAs.  She is also the Credit Union's registered NMLS Mortgage Lender.

Working from the ground up as a teller at a small town bank taught her the value of customer service and promoting education at every opportunity. This was the basis for her becoming a staff member with a C.A.P.E. F.C.U. Joining the credit union movement took her experience to the next level of understanding what a financial institution should really be all about, the people.

"I believe firmly in the credit union philosophy and I use my years of financial experience and my own understanding of people and their situations  to help our members. I truly love what I do and enjoy helping people. I look forward to having C.A.P.E become more involved with our local community and promoting financial education to all age groups of Harrison County. My door is always open and I look forward to getting to know you." - Melinda

She has now been with C.A.P.E. for 8 years. As Jerrie's main role is a Member Service Representative completing daily member transactions, she also works with Loans, CD’s and IRAs.

Realizing that working one-on-one with the public was a passion that she had and wished to continue after leaving the Post Office, she began working at C.A.P.E. as a Member Service Representative in May 2012. She enjoys the daily interactions with her coworkers as well as helping the members!
